Blog competition


Objectives of the competition:
- selecting the best school blogs from among the schools participating in the GOAL project, created during the project,
- promotion of school and local environment in Europe,
- popularizing the GOAL project and the Erasmus + program
- developing literary and journalistic skills to express one's own opinions in English,
- developing media competences, the ability to use new media in school practice.

By 20 JANUARY 2020, a link to the blog should be sent to the organiser by e-mail provided by the teacher - project coordinator of each school. 

GOAL DESCRIPTION

  • In this project our goal is to create an innovative learning environment for students and teachers based on Google apps that will allow everyone to gain and practice social and technical skills, as well as to exchange ideas on new technologies. The project is directed to approx. 300 students 15-20 years old and 60 secondary school teachers.
  • During the project mobilities, project participants will be introduced to a number of Google tools to learn how to:
  • store and share teaching and learning materials through the cloud using Google Drive,
  • collaborate simultaneously on documents using Google Docs and Google sheets,
  • build websites using Google sites,
  • develop a questionnaire with Google Form,
  • communicate and do assignments with Google Classroom,
  • create blogs with Google Blogger,
  • upload videos on YouTube,
  • prepare for partner visits with Google map and calendar,
  • practise Google Arts and Culture, Expeditions and Cardboard applications.
  • We will use the following methods for the project implementation: workshops during mobilities, webinars between mobilities, surveys to measure participants' satisfaction and knowledge gained, group work, discussions on forums and blogs, in personal contacts.
  • Teachers will elaborate on completely innovative lesson plans which will be introduced to their teaching practice. Students will be motivated and eager to learn. They will develop blogs and movies from project activities. They will learn to build websites.
  • They will gain new experiences through the participation in international lessons, in webinars, trips to the workplaces which use Google apps. Project activities will also involve the local community, authorities, cooperating schools and students' parents.
  • We will create a school of tomorrow through the approach to teaching and learning via digital tools.
  • We will also help young people break barriers by engaging them in international cooperation and foster success in learning English language.

The Lycée Polyvalent Nord Atlantique (LPO Nord atlantique) is a high school in Sainte-Marie with 455 students ranging from ages 15-20, around 40 teachers. Located in a rural region of northern Martinique, Sainte- Marie is a town with roughly 18,000 inhabitants.

We are a three-year secondary school of general education for pupils aged 16-19 years old. Our main objective is to prepare pupils successfully to the external examination called ‘Matura’ which enables them to apply to schools of higher education and universities.

Slovakia

A secondary modern school of energetics in Trnava was instituted by Slovak supply undertaking Bratislava, September the 1st 1982.
The job of the school is to prepare youth to perform skilled professions, for all offices and organisations.

Turkey

Our school has been giving education in Mersin /Silifke since 1978.
At first, there were two departments. Accounting Computerized, Accounting. In 1995, a new school called Anatolian trade vocational high school, was added to our education programme.
With this school Computer programming department was opened in computing area.
Trade vocational high school and Anatolian Trade vocational high school have been giving education in the same building with the same director since then.
In trade vocational high school, there are four departments as Accounting, Computerized, Accounting, Computer Programming and in Anatolian Trade Vocational high school there are 4 departments as Computerized Accounting, Computer Programming, Office Management and Marketing department.
